Animosity's Duel development started in July 2019. The idea is to reinvent fast-paced, third-person shooters. The game takes inspiration from older games like GunZ, S4 League, and Battlefield Heroes as well as newer titles such as Overwatch and Paladins.
The goal is to create a fast-paced third-person shooter with an incredibly high skill cap that caters to a competitive audience. Featuring multiple objective-based modes as well as modes that take individual skill into account.
My name is Niels "Animosity" Lanting. I do game development in my spare time, professionally I work as a full-stack developer.
I have been interested in games all my life. Mostly playing games but on a few occasions also creating games. I started experimenting with GameMaker at a young age. And during high school and college, I have developed several games.
One of the earliest games I have created was a simple 2D platformer game created using Gamemaker. I don't even remember the name of the game anymore, I was probably around twelve at that time. During university, together with my project group we created a racing game using XNA. This was a 2D racing game with a top-down perspective. Players were able to play the game in split-screen using a keyboard as well an Xbox controller.
Currently, I'm working on this project solo. Of course, all of this would not be possible without resources created by thousands of other individuals. And of course, the community that is very supportive of this project.
